be some exceptions for shows that
are announced (and ticketed) in one year and which actually occur in the
next year.
2. There are two mandates. 1. Members dues must be
current as of 12/31 of the previous year and as of the date tickets are
shipped. 2. A minimum amount of participation in Club and/or “C/E/C”
activities is expected. This is outlined in 3.
3. 'Island Time' will be awarded according to these
guidelines:
Members MUST accumulate ‘Island Time’ from AT LEAST TWO (2) GROUPS (from
Groups 1 – 4) to be eligible for club tickets.
Group #1:
CHARITY/ENVIRONMENTAL/COMMUNITY EVENTS (C/E/C)
• Award 3 days of 'Island Time' for participating in each event
• No 'Cap' on the days earned
Island Time in this group will be awarded for the following:
• Coordination or participation in a Local “C/E/C” Event sponsored by
VPHC.
• Individual participation in national charity events like the MS and
Alzheimer's walks, and Earth Day/Green Up Day events.
• Participation in any local charity (with the Director of Charities
approval).
Island Time awarded for individual participation in national events may
require some type of documentation (as determined by the Director of
Charities). Island Time is only awarded for participation (not
contributions) in these types of activities. Additionally, if an event is
not actively promoted by VPHC, it is best to get approval from the
Director of Charities before the event.
Island Time will be awarded for auction donations as follows:
• 1 day per item donated. A 2nd day will be awarded if the item brings
more than $100 at auction. As with other charity activities, there is no
cap on days accumulated through auction donations. Donated items must be
in “Like New” condition or have other special value. The Director of
Charities has the right to refuse any items that he/she considers
inappropriate.
Group #2:

Club, you may not use your participation in their events towards VPHC
‘Island Time’ points.
6. This program will be effective 1/2004 for all
concerts beginning in 2005.
7. For concerts announced in one year, but occurring
in the next year:
A. Members must have met the Two Group mandate by the time the ticket
queues open for these shows.
B. Members receiving Club Tickets for these shows must pay their dues for
the following year at the same time that they pay for their club tickets.
8. If a member disagrees with a decision by the
Ticket Coordinator regarding the administration of the 'Island Time'
program, they may appeal that decision to the VPHC Board of Directors. The
Board of Directors, in turn, will appoint a 3 member appeals committee
(none of whose members are involved in the administration of the 'Island
Time' program) to resolve the problem. The decision of the appeals
committee will be final.
9. Note that the 'Island Time' program is simply a
means to determine eligibility and set priorities in obtaining Club
Tickets. All Club Ticket rules of PHiP apply in addition to VPHC 'Island
Time' rules.
